The University of Cambridge has returned to the top of the The Guardian’s annual league table of the best architecture schools in the UK

Its Department of Architecture dropped to fourth place in the newspaper’s rankings last year after occupying the number one spot in 2014.

University College London’s Bartlett School of Architecture drops from first to second place in the 2017 table, published yesterday (23 May). The Bartlett held the top spot from 2010-2013.

Eight of the 10 architecture schools on this year’s list remain unchanged from 2015. Coventry and Sheffield School of Architecture drop out, while the University of the West of England Bristol enters at No 6 and Northumbria at No 10. Last year Northumbria was 12th and UWE Bristol was 16th.

Coventry is now ranked 15th for architecture, and Sheffield School of Architecture is15th.
